Cedar Knob’s Ladies Golf Association is proud to be a member of The Southern New England Women’s Golf Association. Our Ladies Association members have the opportunity to participate in the SNEWGA tournaments for a $10 yearly membership fee.

The Southern New England Women's Golf Association, organized in 1956, exists for the promotion of golf for women within the state of Connecticut and neighboring states. Its membership is open to women's associations from public, semi-private and private golf clubs.

At the present time there are 34 clubs in SNEWGA divided into four regions. The following clubs are members: Blackledge, East Hartford, Lyman Orchards, Portland, Shennecossett, Skungamaug, Tallwood, Cedar Knob, Blue Fox Run, , Farmingbury Hills, Indian Hill, Keney Links, Rockledge, Simsbury Farms, Stanley, Torrington, Timberlin, 3: Candlewood Valley, East Mountain, Grassy Hill, Hunter, Laurel View, Orange Hills, Pequabuck, Richter Park, Fairchild Wheeler, Griffith E. Harris, Hubbard Heights, Rye, Smith Richardson, Sterling Farms, Tashua Knolls, Whitney Farms, Fox Hopyard and Tradition in Wallingford. Presently SNEWGA has approximately 900 individual members. There is no handicap limit to join, however, in all tournament play current USGA handicaps apply.

Membership dues for a club are $30 per year and $10 per individual. Each club must host an invitational or major tournament every other year. We offer six major tournaments (Seniors, Super Seniors/Legends, Memorial, Pro-Lady, SNEWGA Championships, and Team Day) and at least 10 invitational tournaments. Also held are Round Robin and Fall Cup Matches at clubs throughout the state. The SNEWGA Cup, a two-day event modeled after the Ryder Cup/Solheim Cup, is held in the fall.

The tournament schedule is posted on our website along with results and pictures. Our web site is www.snewga.org and email is welcomed at snewga@aol.com.

We hope our program offers to your club and the individual members of your club an opportunity to become part of a state-wide organization, to broaden and enlarge your golfing horizons, compete on a team and individual level, and above all, meet and make new golfing friends.

Please feel free to contact me for further information.

Sincerely,
